Absolutely fantastic bookshelves. So good, we are thinking of buying another 2. BUT, and this is quite an important but, the packaging (whilst necessary) is an environmental disaster. There was enough polystyrene in the two bookcases to fill 14 black dustbin sacks! I would ask that Pine Solutions find a way to eliminate this as it proves difficult for the average consumer to get rid of this amount.

The dining table & chairs were excellent quality and I am really pleased with how good they look. The 2 bookcases however took an incredible amount of building, especially as I was not expecting them to be flat-packed home assembly. I would honestly say I have never had a more difficult flat pack than these to build.

I am extremely happy with this item. I needed a large bookcase as I am an avid reader, and this has plenty of room and also looks great in our contemporary furnished home. Although it is flat packed, it was very easy and quick to assemble.

Q: please advise on where you measure the book case from for height and also I require the measurement in width from leg to leg LINDA
A: All measurements given are the furthest points - here the height will be from the floor to the top of the plinth. The width from foot to foot is 92.5cm. Angela
Q: Please let me know the internal dimensions of the Oakleigh Bookcase Tall; ie shelf depth and height from bottom shelf to underside of fixed shelf and top of fixed shelf to underside of top frame. I am just short of space to fit in 3 units to each of two spaces (ie 6 units); is it possible to replace or cut down the canopy piece in order to stand 3 units next to each other in a row? John
A: The shelf depth is 25cm. Height from bottom shelf to fixed shelf is 90cm, height from fixed shelf to top is 87cm. We would not be able to supply an alternative top piece, but you could cut it down if you wished. Altering the bookcase in any way will void any guarantee. Angela
