  • This product features 100% Solid Red Oak except for the shelves which are a high quality Oak Veneer over MDF to increase strength and prevent warping. This range has been finished to look like Reclaimed Oak but is in fact made from New Oak Timber which has been sourced from sustainable forests.

Wasn't really expecting this to be flat-packed and almost completely self-assembly. However, it only took 45 mins to get it together, despite the size. It's a great match for the desk too! My only wish is that the lovely wood hadn't been so disfigured with chisel marks to give it an artificially 'distressed' look. Not needed at all and adds nothing. I'll still be buying another piece though! One note of caution - as it is so tall and not very deep it is quite unstable, particularly if placed on carpet or an uneven floor. I bought a couple of brackets to anchor it at the top of the unit and make it 100% safe.
